چکیده

Transient wave processes in viscoelastic structures built from functionally graded material (FGM) still remain almost unexplored. In this article, the problem of propagation nonstationary longitudinal waves an infinite layer a FGM with plane–parallel boundaries is considered. The physical and mechanical parameters depend continuously on transverse coordinate, while process propagates along same coordinate. properties are taken into account employing linear integral Boltzmann–Volterra relations. replaced by piecewise-homogeneous consisting large number sub-layers (a package homogeneous layers), thus approximating continuous inhomogeneity FGM. A solution non-stationary dynamic for constructed and, using specific example, convergence results increase shown. Furthermore, cross section infinitely long hollow cylinder, whose change radius, also cylinder composed one, coaxial layers, which constructed. For both FGM, calculating characteristic various initial data presented. influence viscosity demonstrated.

Torsional wave propagation in 1D and two dimensional functionally graded rod

In this study, torsional wave propagation is investigated in a rod that are made of one and two dimensional functionally graded material. Firstly, the governing equations of the wave propagation in the functionally graded cylinder derived in polar coordinate. Secondly, finite difference method is used to discretize the equations. The Von Neumann stability approach is used to obtain the time ste...

Study on Free Vibration and Wave Power Reflection in Functionally Graded Rectangular Plates using Wave Propagation Approach

In this paper, the wave propagation approach is presented to analyze the vibration and wave power reflection in FG rectangular plates based on the first order shear deformation plate theory. The wave propagation is one of the useful methods for analyzing the vibration of structures. This method gives the reflection and propagation matrices that are valuable for the analysis of mechanical energy...

Parallelized Transient Elastic Wave Propagation in Orthotropic Structures

We discuss the parallelization of a Velocity-Stress FDTD (VS-FDTD) code for the simulation of the propagation of mechanical waves in three-dimensional microstructures. The C++ code has been parallelized using MPI making extensive use of the Blitz++ library for local computation. We present numerical results for pyramid shaped domains, representing the tip of a focusing lens, that we have obtain...

Vibration and radial wave propagation velocity in functionally graded thick hollow cylinder

This article presents the analysis of functionally graded thick hollow cylinders under dynamic load. The functionally graded cylinder is assumed to be made of many subcylinders. Each subcylinder is considered as an isotropic layer. Material’s properties in each layer are constant and functionally graded properties are resulted by suitable arrangement of layers in multilayer cylinder. The proper...
